Archive for January, 2007
I would like to thank M over at mega(k)nits for being a great secret pal! I got a package in the mail yesterday from my secret pal. It was full of wonderful treasures. In December I wrote a post about what I would like to learn this year. One thing that I wanted to learn is knitting socks on 2 circs so … my wonderful secret pal sent me these and Sensational Knitted Socks.
She also sent a very cute bag, which my daughter has already tried to take away from me … I colors are very nice. In the box was also some candy, mints, and note cards. SP9 was a lot of fun …
Happy knitting ~ have a good one!!
what is this you might ask? well it is the frogged remains of the rave lace shawl that I started for my grandmother. I some how screwd up the pattern (yo, k2tog ~ yo, p2tog). Clearly I have overshot my ablity to knit and follow directions. I messed up the pattern and had to start all over again. Not once but 3 times!
When I picked this pattern I figured that it would go quickly (using #9 needles) and that the pattern was for the most part easy, since there is really on 2 pattern lines you need to remember. Again I clearly overshot my abilities!! Here is the revived shawl. Lets see how long I can go without having to FROG!
so after trying to set up my blog on my URL I have decided that I just don’t have to time to dedicate to setting it up (again) … so I am staying here!!!
I was unable to finish my socks for the January challenge for socktopia. For that matter I have not finished anything and we are already 25 days into 2007 … oh well, I will get things done or should I say all things in time!!
Happy Saturday to you all!!
So about a year or so ago I bought a url www.knotbuilder.com, well I am finally going to put my blog there!! It is going to take some time to set up the new blog so I will post here in the mean time, but it will get there.
In knitting news, I had been making good progress on the shawl and some how lost 2 sts so I had to frog the WHOLE thing! I am now just starting again. As far as the socks go I made good headway on them yesterday. I think they might actually get finished some time in the next few months :)!
